Eco-Friendly and Socially Conscious Ethical Product
These pullover jackets are made using off-cuts of fabric that would otherwise go to waste. Our suppliers have lots of fabric off-cuts from other products. They spend time sewing these into patchwork when they do not have other garments to make, ensuring that all their employees have work even in quiet periods, and absolutely no usable material is wasted. This is fair trade principles in action, and you can learn more about what fair trade means to us here.
We wanted to make some great products out of this fantastic patchwork to match its story, so we created these patchwork pullover jackets along with some shirts and trousers, using the same technique but different fabric types. All the patchwork is random and totally unique, so we use a natural stone-wash overdye to bring it all together. The result is garments that are beautiful, totally unique and good for the environment – as well as beneficial for the skilled workers who made it. The patchwork garments have been such a success that we now have a whole range!
