These patchwork harem pants, sometimes known as ali babas or Afghani trousers, are made using off-cuts of fabric that would otherwise go to waste. Our suppliers have lots of fabric off-cuts from other products. They spend time sewing these into patchwork when they do not have other garments to make, ensuring that all their employees have work even in quiet periods, and absolutely no usable material is wasted! We had a great success with our eco skirts and shirts using this patchwork last season – so we decided to expand the range to make even more use of this great recycled material! All the patchwork is random and totally unique, so we use a natural stone-wash overdye to bring it all together, resulting in each garment being beautiful, totally unique and good for the environment as well as the skilled workers who made it!
The harem pants are made from random patchwork heavy-wearing cotton. They feature an elasticated waistband with drawstrings for a perfect fit and pockets at the waist. Perfect for dance, yoga, pilates and other activities and well as being perfect for lazy days in bed or on the sofa!
Each garment uses a random mixture of plain and/or patterned and overdyed cotton pieces, and therefore will be different from the trousers pictured. This is part of the charm of the garment, if you are concerned please contact us here and we can send you a picture of the one you will receive prior to ordering
*** Please note that due to the unique nature of this product the garment received may differ considerably in colour from that pictured. ***
