This beautiful lace and velvet coat is certainly a statement piece. With a Gothic feel the sumptuous velvet is decorated with gorgeous lace accents,  exquisite embroidery and hand made lace trim. The coat features a cloverleaf lapel collar adorned with embroidery. The coat fastens with two handcarved wooden buttons – which are unique to each individual coat. The velvet coat flares from the waist, open underneath the buttons for a classic look that is flattering and stylish perfect for layering over dresses, skirts, jeans or even leggings.

The shaping created by the lace and trim decorations is complimented by embroidery to glorious effect. The back of the velvet coat has a corset style lacing so that you can adjust the fit to be perfect for you. The lace bell sleeves have a triple layer of light lace for a truly special look, with a nod to renaissance influences on Gothic style. The lace sleeves can be trimmed to suit you as the fabric does not require hemming as it will not fray.

Available in three stunning colours, a classic stonewashed black, lush forest green or sultry raspberry red. Steampunk, Gothic, historical or just Plain Gorgeous, however you want to describe this velvet coat, it truly is an exquisite piece that will turn heads – it was so popular the first time we stocked it, we sold out at the first festival!

Materials & Washing

100% Cotton + trimmings. Handmade and Fairly Traded from Nepal with Love. Suitable for Vegans.

Hand wash in cold water. Delicate Lace and Embroidery. Dry Flat. Do not tumble dry. Natural dyes may run for the first few washes, wash dark colours separately.

*Please Note* Dark Dyes may transfer onto other surfaces and clothing. Wash in cold water prior to wearing if possible. Please note that the garment may differ from that pictured as all embroidery, lace, placement and dye is done by hand and varies for each individual piece. Any changes in such are not to be seen as flaws but part of the unique charm of the coat. The velvet coat buttons may differ from the picture – each set of buttons is carved and chosen individually.
