~* Recycled Silk Yarn *~
It’s time to get crafty with this gorgeous Recycled Silk Yarn! Made from old saris that are shredded down to threads, and hand spun together to make this unique yarn. Each ball is different as the different saris and colours combine to make something truly unique and special. In Nepal this yarn is crocheted, knitted and woven into a myriad of items; scarves, hats, dream catchers, friendship bracelets – you name it! And now you can get creative with this amazing recycled and eco friendly material, using this recycled silk yarn to make your projects come to life!
Each ball is a unique combination of colours, and most are rainbow – but some may have a singular colour palette. You will receive a random silk ball, but if you’d prefer a particular colour then please send us a message here and we’ll have a look to see if we have anything suitable.
100% Recycled materials. Mostly silk, however cotton and polyester may also be present. Handmade and Fairly Traded from Nepal.
Small Recycled Silk Yarn Ball = 25g approx 10m length
Large Recycled Silk Yarn Ball = 100g Approx 40m Length
If you choose 3 x Small / Large this will be three Random balls and they may not match!
Please note that the weight and length may vary considerably as this is a recycled and handmade product. The thickness of the yarn is dependent on the fibres used and the personal technique of the person who spun them. This is part of what makes this product so unique and special.
We love using this as a colourful accent on an otherwise plain item, for wrapping gifts without selotape and for hanging our homemade christmas decorations. We’d love to see what you do with yours, tag us on instagram or Facebook 🙂
