Patchwork Dress Fabric & Washing Details

100% Cotton + trimmings. Handmade and Fairly Traded from Nepal.

Machine wash on Cold Gentle or Delicates cycle or Hand wash in cold water. Do not tumble dry. Natural dyes may run for the first few washes, wash dark colours separately.

This patchwork dress is made using off-cuts of fabric that would otherwise go to waste. Our suppliers have lots of fabric off-cuts from other products. They spend time sewing these into patchwork when they do not have other garments to make, ensuring that all their employees have work even in quiet periods, and absolutely no usable material is wasted. All the patchwork is random and totally unique, so we use a natural stone-wash overdye to bring it all together, resulting in each garment being beautiful, totally unique and good for the environment as well as the skilled workers who made it.

Each patchwork dress uses a random mixture of plain and/or patterned and overdyed cotton pieces, and therefore will be different from the dresses pictured.
