This Eco Patchwork Sherpa Button Jacket is totally unique, beautiful, colourful and eco-friendly!

The snuggly jacket is made from random patchwork cotton and lined in snuggly soft sherpa fleece – sometimes called teddy.  the assymetrical fit means that the front panels lap over each other for extra warmth and are secured with lovely wooden buttons, including an extra at the neckline. The funnel collar keeps your neck warm too. There are pockets at the waist for all your essentials. The jacket is a long style, to fit over the waist and hips. Long sleeves allow for hand coverage or turn them up for a fluffy cuff. Warm and snuggly this jacket can be worn as a cardigan on those colder days, but also as a jacket.

Each jacket is different and unique, but some are brighter colours, and some more earthy tones so we have given the option to select which you would prefer. But please note that as each jacket is unique it is likely that the jacket that you receive will differ considerably from the pictures.

Light and stretchy enough without bulk but still oh so warm, this jacket really is one to live in!

Each Eco Patchwork Sherpa Button Jacket uses a random mixture of plain and/or patterned and overdyed cotton pieces, and therefore will be different from the tops pictured. Machine wash on Cold Gentle or Delicates cycle or Hand wash in cold water. Do not tumble dry. Natural dyes may run for the first few washes, wash dark colours separately.

What Makes it Eco?

The jacket is made using off-cuts of fabric that would otherwise go to waste. Our suppliers have lots of fabric off-cuts from other products. They spend time sewing these into patchwork when they do not have other garments to make, ensuring that all their employees have work even in quiet periods, and absolutely no usable material is wasted! Consistent and reliable employment is, in our opinion, a key part of sustainable and fair trade.  All the patchwork is random and totally unique, so we use a natural stone-wash overdye to bring it all together, resulting in each garment being beautiful, totally unique and good for the environment as well as the skilled workers who made it.
