This special patterned waistcoat is made from traditional Nepali Dhaka cotton fabric. This special fabric is traditionally using to make hats and other traditional dress, and is handwoven into a wide variety of patterns and colours, each unique to the people who make it. The hats are quintessentially Nepali and the fabric will be familiar to anyone who has visited Nepal!
This patterned waistcoat features the gorgeous handwoven Dhaka fabric, alongside high quality black cotton for the lining. The effect is stunning! The trim cut and slim fit make the waistcoat an understated stylish piece that will add a subtle splash of colour to any outfit. This waistcoat is really special, and we are really proud to be utilising this gorgeous traditional fabric and supporting the amazing artisans that weave it.

Dhaka Patterned Waistcoat Sizing Guide
Approximate Measurements – Please note that as these items are handmade there are slight variations in sizes between garments. Chest measurements are for around the chest from underneath the armpit.
The waistcoats have come up smaller than our usual sizing this season. The “letter” sizes are written in brackets, however please go by the measurements to get the correct fit. The waistcoat is slim through the waist, if your waist measurement is higher than your chest measurement please go by your waist size eg If your chest measures 36″ but your Waist is 38″ then a 41 (L) would be the best size to choose
39 (M) to fit Chest 36″
41 (L) to fit Chest 38″
43 (XL) to fit Chest 40″
Machine wash on Cool Delicates or Wool Cycle or Hand wash in cool water. Do Not Tumble Dry. Natural Dyes may run for the first few washes, wash dark colours separately.

Hand wash in cold water or Machine wash on Cold Gentle or Delicates cycle. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat. Cool iron on reverse. Natural dyes may run for the first few washes, wash dark colours separately.
Please note that the exact colour and pattern of the garment may differ slightly from that pictured, this is due to all items being handmade from handwoven fabrics. This is not a fault and is part of the unique charm of the product.
