Ordering & Delivery
We are still open for online orders. It is just the two of us (Ellie & Jim) who run Karma Gear, we do not have any additional social contact and are isolated. We live next door to our warehouse so do not need to travel to work. We will be taking every precaution to keep our customers safe. Along with increased regular hand washing, we will also be leaving products in packaging as much as possible to limit contact (usually we remove and re-use packaging). We shall also be temporarily posting orders in poly-mailers instead of paper packaging. This is to enable couriers and the postal service to leave parcels outside or on the ground in order to keep distance, without the danger of items inside becoming wet/damaged. Also the polymailers can easily be wiped down if you wish to take the additional precaution. Regretfully this does mean the use of single use plastic, however the polymailers can be recycled with plastic bags at large supermarkets. The World Health Organisation advises that the risk of contracting the virus from post is very low.
Due to the Covid-19 situation there are delays in the Postal Service. In compliance with UK Government Social Distancing Guidelines we are posting on a reduced schedule. This means that your order may take longer to arrive than normal. We are no longer offering Express shipping at this time.
Royal Mail are no longer taking signatures upon delivery, and will leave parcels on doorsteps/in pre-approved locations where necessary to limit social contact. Please see Royal Mail Covid-19 Updates page here https://www.royalmail.com/coronavirus for more information.
Some International deliveries may not be possible at this time, we will contact you if there is an issue with posting your order.

Nepal Lockdown & Our Fair Trade Commitment
We are a small fair trade business and we are so grateful for your support. We are very concerned for our producers and colleagues in Nepal who are also under lockdown. For many people in Nepal on daily wages the lockdown has brought fears that they will not be able to feed themselves. We are working with our colleagues and shipping agents to ensure that our suppliers and their employees continue to get paid during this time, and that they are all able to support their families even if they are not able to work. We may not be able to receive new products for some time, but we are continuing to support our disadvantaged producers as much as possible. Thank you for your custom which allows us to do this.
Festival Cancellations & Shop Closure
Many UK festivals have already been cancelled, and although we are heartbroken we know that this is necessary to keep everyone as safe as possible. No 1 Horsemarket, our local shop which we have an area in is also closed for the foreseeable future. The festival season is our main source of income, but we are now reliant solely on the website for our income and also to provide work for our producers in Nepal. We are so very grateful to our customers who choose to shop small and fair trade to keep businesses like ours going, and to support one of the poorest economies in the world. Thank you.
